The world of travelers is full of interesting facts that only make globe trotting that much more exciting and thrilling.

For instance, did you know that close to 40,000 people cross the Tower Bridge in London every day?

Those are pretty impressive figures that only make London even more appealing for tourists and residents alike.

Tower Bridge was constructed in the 19th century when after the city expansion a need arose for one more bridge in the east end.

It lies next to the one of the largest fortresses in the city, the Tower of London.

Tower Bridge is a structure made of concrete and steel, and even though one would expect it to be rather unappealing, its decor made of 30 million stone bricks makes it one of the most breathtaking such designs in the world. The stone bricks give the bridge an ancient sort of appearance even though its construction ended in 1894.

If you haven’t done so yet you must visit London and absorb all of its beautiful landmarks and spectacles that will make you fall in love with this city and keep coming back to it for more.
