Argentina is a great place to visit for many reasons – from amazing nightlife to the stunning landscapes, this country can offer almost anything to almost anyone. This is why singling out a specific place here is easier said than done.

Nonetheless, some spots in Argentina have certain things you won’t be able to find anywhere else in the country, and sometimes the whole continent. One of those places is Mendoza.

No Country For Rich Men

Mendoza is well known not only for its astonishing surroundings and the sheer amount of vineyards and wineries, but also the comfort it provides to any visitor in terms of prices.

For example, accommodation here isn’t expensive at all. Take a look around and you’ll quickly find everything from $7 dorm rooms to $25 hotel suites.

On the other hand, dinning in Mendoza isn’t as cheap. A basic restaurant meal will cost a bit over $9, while anything fancier can go from $18 upwards. A week’s worth of groceries goes for around $36.

An Unexpected Adventure

Mendoza is one of those places that are truly able to surprise you. The first impression will make you believe that this is a place of peace and relaxation, while actually you can be more active while staying here than in some big cities.

If you want to relax and enjoy your vacation, go to the Parque San Martin for a day filled with forests, zoo animals, long walks along the lake, and camping. Also, don’t forget to check out Mendoza’s Grape Harvest Festival from January to March, which celebrates the winemaking industry in a big way.

However, if adrenaline is your goal, you can always opt out for hiking, paragliding, mountain-climbing, and even trekking on Cerro Aconcagua. For a real taste of adventure, make sure to visit the Puente del Inca – a natural stone bridge filled which glows of copper and gold.
