If you’re in the mood to celebrate Christmas a bit differently this year (and preferably without being cold), we’ve got some great news for you! You don’t need a huge budget to head somewhere a bit more exotic for the holidays, as there are plenty places on Earth that give you an amazing experience without drilling a hole in your wallet.

Here a few tips on how to plan the perfect Christmas getaway while saving a few bucks!

When To Book It?

Book the trip as soon as possible! Don’t book anything around Christmas time because the prices go up around the holidays, as everyone know they won’t have any trouble with filling up their commodities at the last minute.

It may be late for a Christmas getaway this year, but if you’re really into the idea, we suggest you start planning and booking next year’s trip as soon as in January or February.

Packages that include a hotel (or accommodation of any sort) and the flight just get more expensive as the year goes on.

Just make sure to grab a package as early in the year as you can, especially if you’re going to an exotic destination like Mexico, the Caribbean, Thailand, etc.

Hotels Are Not Cheaper

One of the biggest urban myths regarding traveling at Christmas time is that hotels are cheaper in countries that don’t observe the world-favorite holiday. All hotels in exotic places don’t shy from raising their prices for stays during the holiday season, as they know that that season is the most popular one for their business.

However, their prices are a bargain compared to others (like Hawaii), especially if you book them a few months before the holiday season.
