Whether you’re a self-proclaimed “friend of the world” who likes to go travel everywhere imaginable and spontaneously live a bunch of lives in one lifetime, or you’re more of the planning-crazed elegant touristy type, there are a couple of things you should know and abide by. It doesn’t matter where you’re going, or how long you’re staying – these essential travelling tips will be of value to everyone.
Feel The Real Life
Don’t limit yourself to experiencing only the touristy aspect of traveling – observe the daily, normal life that the locals live.
Just sit somewhere, relax, and watch as the locals go around doing their stuff.
Smell in the air of the place, watch the colors that spread across the buildings and the people, and notice the tiniest details that actually make life.
It doesn’t matter whether you like to use an actual camera or you’re quite content with taking pictures with your phone. The important thing is that you do. Take pictures of everything and everyone! Sure, we can stash all of the stuff we saw in our minds and open them and reminisce as much as we like, anytime we like. However, those delicate memories are usually woken up by something that reminds us of a special spot, a special smell in the air, or a certain way that something looked. And nothing wakes up memories like photographs. But do keep in mind to back up everything.
Open Your Mind
There aren’t two people who are exactly the same. With that in mind, it’s quite normal to understand that we all lead different lifestyles, have different opinions and react differently. Keep an open mind while traveling, and don’t insult anyone or get insulted just because you don’t view the world in the same way. There’s no place anywhere for rude travelers.
