Whether you’re a self-proclaimed “friend of the world” who likes to go travel everywhere imaginable and spontaneously live a bunch of lives in one lifetime, or you’re more of the planning-crazed elegant touristy type, there are a couple of things you should know and abide by.
It doesn’t matter where you’re going, or how long you’re staying – these essential travelling tips will be of value to everyone.
Slow Down A Bit
It’s hard to experience a destination if you’re constantly in a hurry. The fact that you’re going to see a bunch of countries and cities in a matter of weeks isn’t really an accomplishment, as you won’t get to truly breathe in your surroundings.
It’s better to only visit one or two destinations in 4 weeks, and leave the rest for next time, because that way you’ll manage to do all the stuff that you’re supposed to do while travelling and not remember your time there as a workout.
Write Down Everything
It’s hard to remember every single detail that catches one’s eye when you see so many of them.
Write everything you see, everyone you meet, and every single experience in a journal.
That way, you’ll be able to bring back everything in your mind just as if it was happening that very moment.
Be honest, do you really need all of that stuff you packed? People always tend to think in “what ifs,” and that’s not the right way to think of travelling. Of course, pack everything you need that will make you feel safer and prepared, however, do you really need stilettos or a tux in the Sahara desert? Yeah, we thought so.
Take Care Of Your Body
Traveling can be a pretty rough thing, and it can disorientate your body. Not to mention that it can be quite the challenge to maintain a somewhat regular workout regime to keep your body in shape. Also, try to get enough sleep, stay hydrate, have well-balanced meals, and use sunscreen if needed.
